As healthcare professionals, we dedicate our lives to improving the health and well-being of our community. This is true in our daily work, but we encourage you to bring this frame of reference to the forefront when exercising your right to vote.
There are many places to gather information to inform your vote. We believe the following websites are good starting places for nonpartisan research:

Candidate Recommendations:
As a nonprofit, we do not take positions on individual candidates – we believe there are candidates from all parties who have a strong record of supporting healthy communities and health care policy that expands access, lowers cost and creates healthy communities. When considering individual candidates, make sure you have all the information you need to make a decision, and ask yourself questions such as:
-
- Does this candidate support my position on health care?
- Does this candidate support my position on the availability of and access to health care, including women’s health?
- Does this candidate support my position on programs such as the Affordable Care Act and the Children’s Health Insurance Program?
We encourage you to take time to look at candidates for the following elected positions:
-
- U.S. Senate
- U.S. House of Representatives
There are also numerous state representative and senate positions on the ballot. Those elected officials have a strong influence over health policy in the state. You can find information about these candidates here.
There are also critical local elected officials that will be in the ballot, including for mayor and council in several local jurisdictions.
Judges and Arizona Corporation Commission:
As voters in the 2024 General Election, we also have choices to make related to judges and the Arizona Corporation Commission.
For consideration of the judicial nominees, more information can be found at www.azjudges.info.
The Arizona Corporate Commission Candidates are also on the ballot. The Arizona Corporation Commission’s mission is to power Arizona’s future by ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable utility services; growing Arizona’s economy as we help local entrepreneurs achieve their dream of starting a business; modernizing an efficient, effective, and responsive government agency; and protecting Arizona citizens by enforcing an ethical securities marketplace. Information about the candidates seeking election to Arizona Corporation Commission can be obtained here.
